HOW DO I GET THERE FROM HERE?

DIRECTIONS FROM EL PASO AND POINTS WEST 

Leave El Paso on Hwy. 54and head north,slowing down to go through the little town of Oro Grande and then on to Alamogordo. You can take the bypass loop around Alamogordo that saves some time. If not, go ahead and go through Alamogordo and grab a snack and stop off at the awesome pistachio farms on your way through!They have some great pistachios and unique wines! Follow the signs for Hwy. 54 North and Hwy. 70 East to Tularosa.In Tularosa, bear right on Hwy. 70 East, up through Mescalero and on to Ruidoso.

DIRECTIONS FROM ROSWELL AND POINTS EAST

Leave Roswell west-boundon Hwy. 70.Drive for just over an hour before coming to Ruidoso Downs. About a mile after the horse racetrack you will come to a stoplight at the “Y,” where you need to bear right into Ruidoso on Sudderth Drive.This will take you to the heart of Ruidoso!

DIRECTIONS FROM ALBUQUERQUE AND POINTS NORTH 

Take I-25 south to Hwy. 380, exiting the interstate in San Antonio (about 10 miles south of Socorro). From San Antonio, drive east on Hwy. 380 to Carrizozo, then continue east about 10 miles to Hwy. 37 – look for signs to Nogal and Ruidoso. Hwy. 37 will eventually come to a “T” intersection with Hwy. 48. Turn right on Hwy. 48 and drive south to Ruidoso.

TRANSPORTATION

Ruidoso is located in the south-central part of New Mexico, about halfway between Albuquerque and El Paso. The area is not on a major interstate highway but has excellent state highway access from the north, east, and west.  With this area being a drivers market, you will need a vehicle to get from your cabin to wherever you want to pursue.  During the winter months during inclement weather, a 4-wheel drive will be advisable.  

Sierra Blanca Regional Airport services private aircraft in and out of Ruidoso. If you choose to fly via commercial airline, check fares to Albuquerque (180 miles), El Paso (130 miles), and Roswell (75 miles, with daily service to and from Dallas and Phoenix).
